Clover for 4-H
(Bold and Dash)
Clover is a mobile application created to facilitate the interactions between students, parents and program leaders of 4-H (see below for description). Bold and Dash was hired to outline the purpose and function of this mobile application, create visual prototypes and pitch the concept to the 4-H executive team.
4‑H is delivered by Cooperative Extension—a community of more than 100 public universities across the nation that provides experiences where young people learn by doing. Kids complete hands-on projects in areas like health, science, agriculture and citizenship, in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles. Kids experience 4‑H in every county and parish in the country—through in-school and after-school programs, school and community clubs and 4‑H camps.
︎ Role
Below is the deck I created which was pitched to 4-H executives, which convey digital product details and visual mock-ups of the interface. Following is the process I undertook to focus on the right product offerings on the mobile app, based off strategic decisions.
I worked to develop statistical cluster data to develop behavioral segmentation based on conjoint analysis. Following that, I utilized each segment data to create simple and concise personas to bring each segment to life and identify the behavioral characteristics relevant to important business decisions. Applied personas and segment data to strategy and interactive design. Conducted primary and secondary research to uncover customer preferences and interpreted complex quantitative/qualitative data to develop relevant customer insights.
